A complete water treatment system refresh was performed to restore reliable performance, improve water quality, and address failing equipment. After reviewing the system, both the mixed bed iron/pH unit and the iron filtration unit were dumped and re-bedded with fresh media to improve iron removal, pH balance, water clarity, and overall filtration efficiency. During the service, the valve bodies on both treatment units were also rebuilt with new pistons and seals to ensure proper backwashing, regeneration, and water flow through the media. These repairs help prevent bypassing, leaks, and reduced filtration performance. A failing pressure tank was also discovered during inspection, along with a rusted elbow beneath the tank. The old tank was replaced with a new 62-gallon pressure tank, along with a stainless steel tank cross, new PEX piping, and updated connections for improved durability and corrosion resistance. After all repairs and upgrades were completed, the system was thoroughly backwashed, flushed until clear, checked for leaks, and tested to confirm proper operation. The home now has a more dependable water treatment system, improved water quality, and a stronger, more reliable pressure setup.
