Sunday No-Water Emergency: Well Pump Replacement, Root Removal & Water Testing September 10, 2026 0 6 Sunday No-Water Emergency: Well Pump Replacement, Root Removal & Water Testing Emergency well pump repair restored water after root intrusion and iron-clogged pipes, with chlorination completed and follow-up water testing recommended. A Sunday no-water emergency led to an urgent well service call after the customer experienced a complete loss of water. Upon inspection, crews found very low amperage, root intrusion inside the well beneath the pitless adapter, and piping clogged with iron buildup. These issues restricted water flow, affected pump performance, and raised concerns about long-term water quality. The service team removed the pump, extracted roots from inside the well, and replaced the pump, pipe, and wire to restore dependable water service. After completing the repairs, the well was chlorinated to help disinfect the system following the intrusion and repair work. Water service has now been restored for the customer. However, because roots were found inside the well, follow-up water testing is recommended to confirm water safety and determine whether a UV bacteria treatment system is needed for continued protection against bacteria and other microorganisms.
