Barlow Water Systems is hiring a Plumber Apprentice

We are seeking a motivated, dependable Plumber Apprentice to join our team. This full-time position includes installing and servicing residential and commercial water pump systems, well pump systems, and water treatment systems. The ideal candidate will have completed a plumbing program, have at least 2 years of related experience, and be willing to learn the correct way to do the job the first time.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, good communication skills, and an interest in building a long-term career in the water pump and water treatment industry.

Duties Include:

• Assist with the installation, service, and repair of water pump systems and water treatment equipment.
• Support technicians on residential and commercial job sites.
• Troubleshoot basic system issues under the guidance of experienced technicians.
• Assist with routine inspections of pumps, tanks, filtration systems, softeners, and related equipment.
• Help collect water samples when needed for testing or analysis.
• Load, unload, and organize tools, equipment, salt, supplies, and materials for daily service work.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and company vehicle.
• Follow company procedures and work with team members to complete jobs safely and correctly.

Requirements:

• Plumbing program certificate of completion.
• Minimum 2 years of related plumbing, mechanical, water treatment, or pump service experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic control panels and equipment issues.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more, including bags of salt, equipment, and daily job supplies.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Dependable, detail oriented, and able to work as part of a team.
• Must pass a drug and background test.
• Availability to work overtime as needed.
